Mees studied Public Administration and Political Science and previously held strategic roles in national, regional, and local government.
At Castro, Mees advises fintech clients such as Klarna, Airbnb, and Uber on lobbying and public affairs, and, as Tech Lead, he continues to expand Castro’s tech expertise. He also works on related issues in finance, healthcare, and defense.
Mees has extensive experience with policy events, including the Amsterdam Tech Debate, the Healthcare Debate, the Leiden Innovation Debate, and Tata Steel’s EU and Dutch events on the future of sustainable steel production.
